Why choose natural hair care?

More and more people are turning down mainstream shampoos and conditioners and instead choosing natural hair care products, such as those made by Green People. Ten or twenty years ago, the market for such products was small, but now they are ever more in demand. So what has prompted this shift?

Green People’s natural hair care products do not contain many of the chemicals which are found in more famous branded shampoos, meaning that they have a more natural effect on your body. We do not use SLS/SLES, Parabens, phthalates or any artificial fragrances or colourings, as some of these have been linked with skin irritation and allergies. Read more about the chemicals we avoid.

The natural ingredients which go into our organic shampoos and conditioners are also gentler on the environment; so much so that they are even suitable for use around sensitive eco-systems. As well as carefully considering the ingredients to include in our products, we have also chosen packaging which is as environmentally-friendly as possible and can be recycled.

Great value for money

The shift towards organic hair care products is still going strong, despite the apparent higher costs of these goods – and there is a good reason for this. Many of them are actually much better value for money than they appear, as they come in a much more concentrated form than the mainstream brand alternatives.
