Described as “the ethical stamp of approval”, the Ethical Consumer Best Buy symbol can only be found on products that have been thoroughly vetted and approved by this independent organisation. It is designed to help consumers shop ethically in their everyday purchases.
Green People is delighted that all of its shampoos, skin care products and toothpastes have passed the stringent ethical standards set by Ethical Consumer and so we may display the Best Buy symbol.
Ethical Consumer puts together Buyer’s Guides for a wide variety of products, rating participating companies on 5 main areas: the environment, people, animals, politics and product sustainability.
Green People received ratings of 15.5 for shampoo, 16 for toothpaste and 14 for skin care whereas the best high street brands could manage was 8, 10 and 8.5 in the respective categories.

Green People is committed to offering consumers a way of shop ethically and organically for skin and hair care products. Often the two – ethical and organic – go hand in hand, such as with our sourcing of organic Shea Butter.
We are completely up front with the ingredients that we use in all of our products, listing them all on our website and on the physical product itself. You may also notice that some ingredients are marked with ^ to indicate fairly traded or * to indicate organic to give you extra insight into your purchase.
