What are Green People’s organic deodorants made from?
Finding an effective, organic deodorant is a challenge, but so is making one! However,
at Green People we have created a range of natural deodorants which we are very
happy with – but more importantly, so are our customers
As with all of the rest of our products, we are committed to using naturally-occurring,
eco-friendly ingredients in our deodorants. Aloe vera is a common ingredient across
all three of our ladies’ roll-on deodorants thanks to its anti-microbial properties
together with its soothing action on skin. Our men’s deodorants contain ingredients
such as peppermint and rosemary, which have similar actions.
Ammonium alum and zinc ricinoleate
However, it is two other ingredients – Ammonium alum and Zinc ricinoleate – which
give our organic deodorants their remarkable effectiveness. Ammonium alum is not
like the pore-clogging aluminium you will commonly find in high street antiperspirants.
It stays on the surface of the skin, where it prevents the bacteria which cause
odour from thriving.
Zinc ricinoleate is derived from the seeds of the castor oil plant so is a completely
natural ingredient. It has the capability to stop the bacteria from releasing odour,
thereby keeping you smelling fresh as a daisy!
Our organic deodorant is not antiperspirant!
The deodorants you will find at Green People do not stop you sweating, like antiperspirants
do. This is almost impossible to achieve naturally and without the use of pore-clogging
aluminium. Instead, our organic deodorants naturally control body odour without
preventing the essential process of perspiration.
Why do you use alunite in your natural deodorants?
