Natural and organic, Triclosan-free hand soaps from Green People

Many high-street soap brands contain the ingredient Triclosan, a disinfectant with broad-spectrum activity against most bacteria and some viruses and fungi. Triclosan is also used in many other everyday items including some deodorants, antimicrobial creams and lotions, toothpastes and mouthwashes.

It is increasingly being used in household items ranging from fridge linings, textiles and even children’s toys. There are growing concerns that the widespread use of antibacterial products including Triclosan could be contributing to the increasing incidence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as MRSA.

Green People's organic liquid soaps do not contain Triclosan and instead we use natural antibacterial agents to keep hands naturally clean and fresh.

Recognising consumers concerns and seeing the strong demand for an effective antibacterial hand wash, Green People has launched its NEW Antibacterial Soap.

Made with a Certified Organic liquid soap base, this gentle formulation also contains extracts from both the Australian Tea Tree and the New Zealand Manuka Bush. These extracts have been shown to kill the majority of harmful bacteria after a short time of exposure – in many cases within 2-3 minutes. Unlike many soaps containing Tea Tree, this natural liquid soap has a great scent of Citrus and is suitable for all the family.

Not only does this product avoid the potential health hazards associated with Triclosan, but the use of Tea Tree and Manuka extracts have never been shown to induce or lead to microbial resistance.
