Why choose a natural deodorant?
More and more people are now swapping over to using a natural deodorant instead
of the high street brand antiperspirants. Green People’s organic roll on deodorants
are proving to be a popular choice in this shift thanks to their eco-friendly, natural
properties.
It is easy to think that deodorants and antiperspirants are the same thing. However
there is an important difference: antiperspirants actually stop you sweating whilst
deodorants stop you smelling.
What’s wrong with antiperspirants?
Antiperspirants work by stopping sweat from escaping your body by clogging up the
pores in the skin. However, sweating is an essential part of regulating body temperature
and releasing toxins, and we do not feel that it is sensible to prevent these important
functions. This is part of the reason we have created our range of natural deodorants.
Also, antiperspirants generally contain ingredients based one of the following compounds:
aluminium chloride, aluminium chlorohydrate and aluminium zirconium. Unfortunately
aluminium can cause skin irritation in some people, leading to inflammation and
discomfort.
Why try Green People’s natural deodorants?
Green People’s organic deodorants do not contain these pore-clogging aluminium compounds.
Instead, we use ammonium alum, which is one of the most effective natural deodorants
and which cannot penetrate human skin. It does not block the pores but instead helps
to control the bacteria which cause the sweat odour.
Why do you use alunite in your natural deodorants?
