Research has shown that Titanium dioxide could have potentially carcinogenic effects in animal studies. However, as the research states, this only applies when the powdered mineral is inhaled, i.e. breathed in.

Are the essential oils in your products photo toxic?
In general the levels of essential oils used in our leave-on products should not cause photo-sensitivity. Bergamot oil (Citrus bergamia) is the most notable essential oil that has the potential to be photo-toxic due to the presence of one specific molecule called Bergaptene.
