We’re celebrating Green People turning 21 this week and we’ve been reflecting on our favourite achievements from the past two decades!
1. OUR ETHOS
Our founder, Charlotte, helped set the standard for organic beauty and we’re pleased to say that we continue to use certified organic ingredients in every single product.
2. OUR ACCREDITATIONS
Since 1997 we have achieved organic certification for 150 of our products. We are also approved by PETA, The Vegan Society and The Vegetarian Society.
3. OUR GREEN TEAM
Small but mighty, our ‘Green Team’ has grown from a tiny team of one, to an ever-growing team of 30!
4. OUR LONG-SERVING STAFF
Talk about staff loyalty! 10 members of our 30-strong team have worked for the company for over a decade clocking up a combined 133 years of service.
5. OUR HEAD OFFICE
To accommodate our growing team, we’ve moved office not once, but thrice! Currently based in the Sussex village of Shipley, our eco-friendly office is a home from home.
6. OUR WAREHOUSE
Our on-site warehouse is a hive of activity and has worked tirelessly to send out more than 12 million products since we launched.
7. OUR SPEEDY DELIVERY
We offer free delivery in the UK and aim to get your products to you as soon as possible. Thousands of parcels leave our site every week and we love seeing your social posts when they arrive. Use the hashtag #greenyourroutine and your post could win you a £50 voucher for your next skin care shop.
8. OUR PRODUCT RANGE
Green People started when our founder created a natural salve for her daughter’s sensitive skin. Today we have 12 ranges and a staggering 150 organic products for you to choose from.

We put our heart and soul into developing the best products and are thrilled to have won over 200 awards for our product ranges.

11. OUR WEBSITE
As our product range has grown, so has our website. We first joined the world wide web in 2001 and since then have updated it 5 times to bring you a bigger and better shopping platform.
12. OUR BEAUTY HUB
We produced our first Beauty Hub blog post in 2014 and, since then, have published over 418 articles full of skin care advice and product tips.
13. OUR MEDIA REPUTATION
We love a good read and our products have racked up the column inches in no less than 5,300 magazine titles.

17. OUR STOCKISTS
The first store to stock our products was Charlotte’s local village shop but today you can find Green People products in many independent health stores as well as Waitrose, Wholefoods and Ocado.
18. OUR GLOBAL SCALE
We’ve put Green People on the map and can now be found in 22 different countries worldwide. This includes Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the USA, Australia and Spain.
19. OUR CHARITY WORK
We give 10% of our profit away to charitable causes and have donated more than £340,000 to charities including the Lullaby Trust, The Marine Conservation Society and our local children’s hospice, Chestnut Tree House.
20. OUR COMMITMENT TO BEING CRUELTY FREE
We’re 100% cruelty-free and have NEVER allowed animal cruelty in the production of our products.
21. CAMPAIGNING TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE
We strive to reduce our impact on the planet and were proud to campaign with Greenpeace against the use of microbeads in cosmetic products. The ban came into force in 2018 and we’re delighted to have made such a difference.
