Has the stress of organising your wedding played havoc with your skin? Here we reveal our ultimate guide to achieving flawless bridal beauty with a pre-wedding skin care regime.

TREAT YOUR SKIN WHILST YOU SLEEP

For flawless skin it’s imperative that brides-to-be get their beauty sleep and an effective night-time skin regime can help improve your skin as you sleep. Before bed remove all traces of make-up using Green People’s Gentle Cleanse & Make-Up Remover. Once the skin is clean, tap Green People’s Rejuvenating Eye Cream gently to the entire eye contour area using light tapping motions. After this apply Green People’s Fruitful Nights cream to the face. Made with natural actives that tone and nourish the skin, it helps balance sebum and oily areas and reduces fine lines and pigmentation. For an extra boost of skin-nourishing vitamins and antioxidants, combine this night cream with Green People’s Vita Min Fix Moisturiser.

MAKE TIME FOR A WEEKLY TREAT

Time-poor brides-to-be can struggle to make time for skin care but scheduling in a mid-week treat can greatly improve the health and appearance of your skin. Exfoliate the skin at least once a week to remove dead skin cells and help your skin care penetrate deep into the skin’s tissue. For skin that needs an extra boost apply Green People’s Beauty Boost Skin Restore after exfoliating. This rejuvenating formula contains Green Marine Macro Algae which delivers intense hydration to deeper skin tissues.

DON’T OVER REACT

Prone to skin sensitivity and worried how your skin will react to a change of routine? Minimise your risk of experiencing a reaction by opting for scent-free skin care and mineral make-up. Designed with sensitive skin in mind Green People’s Neutral Scent Free range contains natural plant actives that help bring the skin back into balance and gently nurtures even the most sensitive skin.

VOW NOT TO POP YOUR SPOTS

Has the stress of organising your big day caused you to break out? Whilst it might be tempting to pop your pimples, doing so can push bacteria into the skin and trigger further inflammation or scarring. Instead dab Green People’s Zap & Clear spot-clearing gel gently onto affected area several times a day. Made with Aloe Vera, Black Willow Bark, Rosehip and Tea Tree, it gets to work immediately to reduce redness and soothe irritation.

SLATHER ON THE SUN CREAM

Tempted to sit out in the sun to top up your tan ahead of the big day? Without broad-spectrum sun protection you could end up with unwanted tan lines or worse, nursing the sting of sunburn. For a safer way to tan, be sure to apply Green People’s SPF15 Tan Accelerator Sun Cream at least 20 minutes before going out in the sun or, for a natural-looking fake tan, apply Green People’s Self Tan after exfoliating at least a week before the wedding. Your tan will develop 3-4 hours after application and can be topped up by reapplying the fake tan every 3 days.

FIND YOUR PERFECT MATCH

Powder and liquid foundations can help you achieve a flawless finish but it can be hard to find your perfect match. For a gorgeous glow it is best to gradually build your colour using a base made with natural Earth Mineral pigments that adapt to complement you skin. For a light-medium coverage, apply a small amount of Green People DD cream to your fingers and use gentle pressure to massage the product into your cheeks, forehead and chin. To finish, lightly pat your face and neck with gentle tapping motions. For medium-full coverage, pump a small amount onto the back of your hand and use circular motions with a foundation brush to lightly buff the product into your skin, focussing on areas that require greater coverage. Dust a little Pressed Mineral Powder over the T-zone for an extra long-lasting, radiant finish.

DON’T FORGET THE RINGS

Looking after the rings might well be the best man’s job but, with the spotlight on your ring finger, you’ll want to make sure your hands are looking their best. For healthy hands massage the hands with a sugar scrub once a week and apply moisturiser to the hands several times a day. Ingredients in soap such as SLS and Triclosan can irritate and dry the hands so switch to an SLS-free hand wash during the lead up to your big day.
