HOW ELSE CAN YOU PROTECT YOUR HAIR FROM THE SUMMER SUN?
Keep hair covered up during the day and wear a head scarf or hat when the sun is strong.
Pop a conditioning treatment into your hair and let it get to work while you catch some rays in the sun. The heat from the sun rays will open the hair cuticle and help the conditioner to penetrate.
Cull your styling tools! The heat from straighteners and styling tongs can damage the hair. Instead try experiment with plaits, braids and ponytails to create a summer style that keeps your hair in place without the heat.
To reduce your risk of hair damage switch your hairbrush for a wide tooth comb. Wet hair is much more fragile, it can be stretched to double its normal length and can easily snap at its weaker points. Use your comb to slowly de-tangle and remember to start at the ends and work your way up.
You can also keep a bottle of our Quinoa & Artichoke Conditioner in your beach bag and apply a little to help rid your locks of any knots.
CHLORINE-PROOF YOUR HAIR
Heading to the pool? Chlorine can strip your hair and scalp of natural oils and may leave it feeling dry and damaged. To prevent this, consider wearing a swimming hat and switch to a natural anti-chlorine shampoo.
Our Quinoa & Artichoke Shampoo and Conditioner both contain an extract from Artichoke leaves that repairs the damage caused by chlorinated water and reseals the surface of the hair to reduce restores the shine to damaged hair.
