10 ways to use foaming hand wash

Our Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam is a small but mighty product with multiple uses. Here team GP reveals how to use our foaming hand wash and explain why we always keep this freshen-up foam within easy reach.

What is a foaming hand wash?

Our Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam is a 2-in-1 organic hand wash and on-the-go hand cleanser which helps to keep your hands feeling fresh.

Made with organic Lemon Tea Tree essential oil, this citrus-fresh foaming hand wash dispenses as a light, frothy foam which can be rinsed away with water if available or will otherwise dissipate in seconds.

It is free from harsh soap, SLS and alcohol because these ingredients can upset the pH-balance of the skin and leave hands feeling dry.

How we use foaming hand wash

ALEX: FOR A DESK DETOX

Working from home means its all too easy for my toddler to get her hands on my PC mouse and for my kitten to take a nap on my desk. The Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam is an essential for keeping my workspace clean and fresh. I dispense it onto a cloth before wiping it over the desk, mouse and computer keyboard at the start of each day.

SOPHIE: MY HAND WASH ALTERNATIVE

My fiancé and I prefer the feeling of foam to typical hand wash so this always sits next to my sinks at home. I use one squirt of the Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam then rinse with water. I love the scent and the gentle foam helps to keep my hands soft and healthy.

SORAYA: FOR FRESHER WALKIES

Walkies with my dog Yogi can get a little mucky at times so whenever we head out, I always make sure I have his lead, his biodegradable poop bags and my Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam.

Being out with the dog in the winter means I need a hand freshening product that’s convenient to carry and that won’t leave my hands feeling dry after use. The moisture-retaining Aloe Vera benefits of this SLS-free foam mean it is ideal for my dry hands.

Once Yogi has done his business, I use it to give my hands a quick freshen and love how the Lemon Tree scent masks those doggy odours.

AMY: MY KIT BAG ESSENTIAL

I love experimenting with make-up styles but only ever apply cosmetics when I have clean hands and clean skin. I often use the back of my hand when mixing foundations or blending eye shadows and my hands can look very colourful by the time I’ve perfected my look!

Keeping the Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam in my kit bag saves me from washing my sensitive hands with hard soaps. I rub 1-2 squirts over the palms and backs of the hands before wiping away any excess with a tissue.

HANNAH: TO CLEANSE MY DIRTY BRUSHES

My dirty secret is failing to wash my make-up brushes as often as I should. Keeping the Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam next to my brush pot reminds me to keep them clean and is really easy to do.

I apply a squirt of the foam directly to my synthetic fibre brushes and gently work it into the bristles. It starts to cleanse the make-up away instantly so all that’s left to do is rinse the brushes with water and leave them to dry.

IWONA: MY NAPPY BAG STAPLE

Having a young family means frequently changing nappies. There’s not always a sink in public changing spaces so I keep the Deep-Cleansing hand Foam in the nappy bag and use it for stop-gap hand cleansing.

The foam feels fresh on my skin and its fluffy texture appeals to the little ones, making it easier to keep sticky hands clean.

EMILY: MY CRAFTY CLEANER

My little girl has just started school and is going through a craft stage. Weekends are regularly spent painting, sticking, and scribbling and by the end of the day, her hands are usually covered in glitter and glue.

She is great at washing her hands but she has eczema and soaps with SLS and alcohol leave her skin feeling sore. Keeping a gentle foaming hand wash like the Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam in her craft box means I can freshen her up on the spot without risking skin irritation…or a trail of sticky hands and glitter making their way from our craft area  to the bathroom!

SARAH A: FOR BREAKING A SWEAT ON THE BIKE

I love to cycle but putting in the miles can mean that your hands feel sweaty against the handlebars. To freshen them up, I keep the Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam in my saddle bag.

LISA: MY CHEF’S COMPANION

My Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam lives by the kitchen sink and I use it to keep my hands fresh when preparing food in the kitchen. The Lemon Tea Tree smells so fresh and is great for masking food smells that linger on the fingers like spices, garlic, onion and fish.

STEPH: FOR SCHOOL RUN SNACKS

I have two growing boys and when I pick them up from school, the first thing they want to know is what’s for dinner! To keep their hunger at bay I usually pack some healthy snacks for the school pick-up .

I keep the Deep-Cleansing Hand Foam in the car so that I can be sure my boys’ hands are fresh and clean before they eat.
