Plastic packaging has long been an unsettling predicament for clean beauty brands like our own and until recent years, the option of more eco-friendly packaging options has simply been out of reach.
New technological innovations have allowed us to take steps in the right direction starting with the roll out of new plant-based packaging made from Sugar Cane, which we’ve used for our reef-friendly range of sun lotions.
Is your sugar-cane packaging eco-friendly?
With concerns growing about the harm plastic and microplastics can cause our oceans, it was important for us to investigate alternatives to petrochemical-sourced plastic packaging.
Our new plant-based packaging is made from Sugar Cane and as well as being entirely recyclable, it has a favourable carbon emissions profile. For every kilo of sugar cane plastic produced, three kilos of C02 is removed from our atmosphere. This exchange can be described as being climate positive.
In addition to our new packaging we guarantee you’ll never find planet-pollutant aerosols in our range, or ocean-harming ingredients, like Oxybenzone/Benzophenone-3 or Octinoxate/ Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, in our sun creams.

We also ask that you recycle all of your empty sun cream tubes so that our packaging is as green as it can be.
