To achieve fake tan perfection follow these simple rules:
1. UNDERSTAND HOW IT WORKS
The active ingredient in fake tan is DHA, which is derived from sugar, this reacts with Amino Acids in the outer layer of the skin to form brown pigments that give the appearance of a natural suntan.
2. CHOOSE A SHADE THAT MATCHES YOUR NATURAL SKIN TONE
Apply fake tan 1 application at a time and wait for the tan to develop between each to get the desired shade. A better, more even effect is obtained by repeated applications over several days rather than one heavy application.
3. PREPARE THE SKIN PROPERLY
Exfoliate the skin before application to remove any excess of dead skin cells which could lead to an uneven or patchy effect. Bath or shower in your usual way, and use an exfoliator such as the Sugar Scrub, concentrating particularly on ankles, knees, elbows, wrists and any other areas where dead skin may build up
4. APPLY TAN PROPERLY FOR STREAK-FREE RESULTS
Apply fake tan to the skin using circular movements – this helps to avoid streakiness. Start from the face and neck and work your way down in stages so you don't miss any bits. Don't scrub hands too much as you don't want pale hands and a tanned body!
Our fake tan is moisturising and non-greasy that gives a natural looking tan in 3 hours.
