If you’re planning a winter ski or snowboarding getaway and need a travel-friendly, natural skin care routine to protect your skin whilst you’re on the slopes, we can help!

Read on to discover our skiing sunscreen and skin care suggestions.

Best sunscreen for skiing

Sunlight reflects off white, snowy surfaces and all skiers should apply a high factor sunscreen at least 30 minutes before they ski to help protect against sunburn and windburn.

Green People’s Scent Free Facial Sun Cream SPF30 is our best sunscreen for skiing and uses Edelweiss, a plant that grows in Alpine regions where UV light is particularly strong, to support its high-factor protection against UVA & UVB light.

A scent-free sunscreen for skiers with sensitive skin, this facial SPF30 sun cream can be used by all the family and has a water-repellent formulation that’s rich in replenishing ingredients that help comfort skin exposed to chafing winds, including hydrating Aloe Vera, softening Sunflower Oil and soothing Myrrh Oil.

The 50ml tube is also the perfect sunscreen for your ski jacket pocket, making it easy to maintain effective ski sun protection by reapplying every 2 hours.

SKIERS SAY:

“I bought this for a recent skiing trip. It was easy to apply, non-greasy, absorbed well and didn't leave any white marks. It lasted all day and prevented any burning. Just allowed a nice tan. Very impressed.” Anne R

“Just back from skiing. This product really protects the skin from the sun. Terrific. My husband loves these products as well.” Valerie B

Best for windburn

Windburn can leave the skin feeling hot and red after skiing and if this causes discomfort, using gentle Aloe Vera based skin care can help cool and calm skin that feels red after skiing.

We use Aloe as a base in almost all of our skin care products, including our Scent Free Calming Serum which is ideal for when skin feels ultra-sensitive after winter sports.

Everlasting Flower and Chamomile instantly reducing oxidative stress and soothe skin inflammation while calming Marshmallow reduces redness and creates a protective barrier on the skin to maintain moisture levels and aid wound healing.

Men that ski might also find Green People for Men No.3 Cooling Moisturiser helpful for calming skin that feels red and sensitive after a day on the ski slopes.

This natural face cream features a high concentration of Aloe Vera that soothes and hydrates the skin and contains Peppermint to cool skin that feels flushed after skiing.

Best barrier balm for skiing

If cold weather stings your lips, cheeks or nose, it is worthwhile packing a barrier balm for your ski trip.

One Balm is a skiing skin care essential which is easy to carry in your ski jacket pocket. It features nourishing natural actives that soothe and comfort the skin.

An ideal skin care product for when you’re packing light, this multipurpose product can be applied to dry skin or any areas of chafing.

It can also be used to calm and nourish the skin before and after skiing and can even be used to tame eyebrows or to add a little sheen to your lips before you visit the après ski bar.

Best body lotion for skiers

Skiing is an intense workout and a soak in the bath back at your ski chalet will help to soothe your weary muscles. Once your skin is warm, clean and dry, gently massage Time to Restore Magnesium Lotion over the skin, playing particular attention to dry patches and weary muscles.

Enhanced with the vital mineral Magnesium and skin-comforting CB2-Skin Biofunctional, this blissful body lotion helps soothe tired muscles and has a calming aroma that encourages natural relaxation and supports a peaceful night’s sleep.

If you are sensitive to essential oils, you may prefer to use our Time to Soothe Scent Free Body Oil. This also features the phyto active CB2-Skin™ Biofunctional but was made for sensitive skin and this does not contain any essential oils.

Best foot cream for skiers

Sweaty ski socks and ill-fitting ski boots can leave feet feeling uncomfortable so soothe sore soles after skiing with Deodorising Prebiotic Foot Cream.

Luxuriously light, this travel-friendly foot cream is ideal for post-ski foot massages and delivers a cooling touch of Peppermint and Eucalyptus while moisture-binding Shea Butter and Sunflower Oil soften dry, damaged skin.
