The absolutely best product for tanning I have ever used. It glides on, feels gorgeous, lasts for ages (both on the body and in the tube). Perfect colour with no patchiness and the bonus is that it has actually improved the quality of my skin as, has the SPF22 no scent tan lotion.

Have just started using your products and find them very good for my skin. I used to use Clarins, the only one that didn't make my skin and eyes sore. Now it is only your products I shall use. The self tan lotion is the only 'tanning cream' not to make my eyes sore and watery. I know what is going to be on my birthday and Christmas lists now.

Having tried numerous self-tan brands over the last 10 years I became incredibly frustrated that I would develop a rash on my legs each time I used them. I would avoid shaving for some days before and after I used these products and tried aloe vera to numb any irritation. This had no effect. I also use organic products to reduce any possible irritations/side effects.

Imagine my delight when I used Green People Self-Tan!!! I know your product contains rosehip and many other healthy ingredients and can't tell you how happy I am to finally be able to use a self-tan product on my legs without living in fear of the after-rash! I hope you get an opportunity to publish this widely via magazines and on your site as I know many women have a reaction like this to other self-tan products and it may be that Green People's self tan products will solve this for them (a quick Google will yield quite a few search results on this problem!).

Also the colour of the self-tan is really natural and healthy looking. So top marks!

Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is a natural ingredient derived from sugar that reacts with amino acids in the outer layer of the skin to form brown pigments that give the appearance of a suntan. In more detail, DHA is produced by an enzymatic reaction of simple sugars and glycerin. It reacts with amino acids and peptides resulting from the breakdown of dead cells on the skin surface to form melanoidin, a brown/orange pigment that mimics the appearance of melanin. DHA is a completely natural ingredient that is approved for use in certified organic personal care products.

There is no reason why the Self Tan should not be used before or during pregnancy. None of the essential oils are contraindicated during pregnancy, and none of the other ingredients would cause any problems. The tanning effect is entirely localised in the outermost layer of the skin and does not affect any living cells.

Our Self Tan contains sugar-derived DHA along with organic rose geranium, vetivert and sandalwood to give it a beautiful light scent. It certainly does not have the ‘burnt biscuit’ smell than some self tan products can leave on the skin. It can be used all over the body, including the face, for a smooth, even tan in 3-4 hours.
