Naturally No - SLS, SLES, methylisothiazolinone (MI), methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI), parabens, lanolin, phthalates, propylene glycol, alcohol (ethyl alcohol, ethanol), harsh foaming agents, irritating emulsifiers, synthetic fragrance, PABA-sunscreen, gluten, colourants, petrochemicals, urea, DEA, TEA or PEGs.

 

Suitable for those who may be prone to eczema and psoriasis.

How to use

Pour 30ml sunscreen into your cupped palm then apply to body 20 minutes before exposure to sun then every 2 hours or after swimming.


To soothe the skin after sun exposure and to maintain your tan for longer, try our Hydrating After Sun Lotion, which has a wonderful cooling effect as well as locking moisture into the skin to keep it soft and supple.


Green People sun lotions are made with over 80% natural ingredient including a blend of safe, non-toxic filters which ensure that all Green People sun lotions meets European UVA protection standards. Green People takes care to ensure that, unlike some chemical UV filters, our effective UV filters do not irritate the skin or harm the environment. However, in some instances the filters we use can stain some fabrics yellow. This staining is irreversible and, for this reason, we recommend that users take care when wearing white/ light fabrics over their sun cream and always allow the sun lotion to soak into the skin before applying clothing.

Aloe Vera

 Aloe Vera juice has a long history of use in skin care, and documentary evidence of this use dates back at least 3,500 years.

  • Noted for its soothing and healing properties
  • Excellent moisturiser thanks to mucopolysaccharides combining with water
  • Also contains sugars, amino acids, minerals, sterols, enzymes and fatty acids
  • Used in folk medicine as a first aid treatment for minor burns

We use certified organic Aloe barbadensis leaves which are carefully filleted to remove irritating compounds including aloin.  The remaining inner leaf is then juiced, filtered and freeze-dried - all within 2 hours of being harvested to ensure that all of the health benefits of the leaf juice are retained. 

When using the resulting powder in our products, we rehydrate the powder back to its original strength immediately before incorporating it into the formulation.

Green Tea

Green Tea extract is a rich source of antioxidants called Catechins which have powerful activity against free radicals.  Free radicals cause oxidative damage to fats (lipids) and skin cells, and are responsible for many aspects of premature ageing.

Green Tea extract also inhibits the activity of enzymes that are responsible for the break down of collagen - the underlying structure to the skin. 

By protecting collagen, the integrity of the skin structure is preserved.
