DO YOU USE TINTED MOISTURISER INSTEAD OF FOUNDATION?
Foundation is used by people seeking to even out their complexion and can help conceal signs of blemishes, rosacea, tiredness and hyperpigmentation.
A popular choice of cosmetic, in recent years the high street has witnessed a flurry of foundation launches, including some promising to offer long-lasting coverage.
Whilst effective at concealing imperfections, these foundation formulations can have a thick, pore-clogging consistency and may harbour a high-concentration of synthetic ingredients and skin-drying alcohol.
Tinted moisturisers offer a light-weight alternative to heavy foundations and when we developed the Green People tinted moisturiser range, careful consideration was given to creating its natural formulation.
The result was a trio of daily defence tinted moisturisers designed to offer colour correction, SPF15 protection and anti-ageing benefits, in one luxurious but lightweight moisturiser.

HOW TO PRIME YOUR SKIN FOR A TINTED MOISTURISER
A moisturiser first and foremost, tinted moisturisers can be applied directly to the skin, but by priming the skin you can help your tinted moisturiser to glide on and stay put.
Making a primer for your tinted moisturiser is easy to do and can be greatly beneficial for those with dry, oily or combination skin.
TOP TIPS FOR APPLYING TINTED MOISTURISER
Like foundation, a tinted moisturiser can be applied with your fingers, a sponge or a foundation brush. The way you choose to apply your tinted moisturiser is a matter of personal choice, but whichever way you choose, there are some techniques you can use to make your tinted moisturiser look flawless.
HOW TO APPLY TINTED MOISTURISER FOR LIGHT COVERAGE:
For light and even coverage the best make-up application tool to use is your hands. Follow these 3 simple steps for applying tinted moisturiser with your hands:
- First apply a small amount of tinted moisturiser to your fingers
- Then gently massage your tinted moisturiser onto your cheeks, forehead and chin
- Lastly, lightly pat your face to even out your coverage, concentrating on the more fiddly areas around the eyes and nose
HOW TO APPLY TINTED MOISTURISER WITH A BRUSH:
Applying tinted moisturiser with a brush is a great way of building heavier coverage and is ideal for covering blemishes and dark circles. We recommend using a Kabuki brush for smooth results. Follow these 3 simple steps for applying tinted moisturiser with a brush:
- Pump a small amount of tinted moisturiser onto the back of your hand and dip the end of your brush into the product
- Lightly buff the product into your skin by moving your foundation brush in circular motions
- Allow to fully absorb for a few seconds and repeat if fuller coverage is required
TOP TIPS FOR REMOVING TINTED MOISTURISER
Designed to be long-lasting, our natural tinted moisturiser will deliver even coverage throughout the day, but it is important that any make-up applied to the skin is removed thoroughly at night.
Make-up that is left on the skin overnight can affect the skin’s delicate balance and double cleansing will ensure all traces of make-up are removed.
When building an effective double cleansing regime that won’t strip your skin of essential oils, choose an oil-based cleanser designed to effortlessly remove makeup whilst hydrating and nourishing the skin. Our Age Defy+ Purify & Hydrate Cream Cleanser effectively clears makeup from the skin and contains calming plant actives to support the skin as it cleans.
Once your cleansing oil has dissolved your make-up and your face is clean and dry, apply your second cleanser.
Our top-tip is to use a water-based cleanser, such as our Gentle Cleanse & Make-up Remover or Foaming Face Wash. Tough on impurities but gentle on the skin, these cleansers are designed to remove dirt and residual make-up to deeply cleanse the skin.
