Gardeners' hand care guide

Do you love tending to your plants but suffer with sore or calloused hands? Regain beautiful, soft hands after all your hard work with our gardeners' skin care guide to exfoliation and hand creams.

Make your own hand scrub for gardeners

This hand scrub is easy to make yourself and leaves hands super soft - just what you need after a day in the garden. Use one tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon of Manuka & Lemon Tea Tree Antibacterial Hand Wash and 1 tablespoon Olive oil.

Massage your hands thoroughly working in circular motions, gently rub a little on your cuticles to help soften them and rinse well with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and massage your hands with Help at Hand hand cream to nourish and protect new skin.

Haven’t got time to make your own hand scrub? Try a sugar scrub, a teaspoon is enough. Apply to hands, massage thoroughly and rinse with warm water.

How to clean hands without compromising your skin

Bolster your skin’s natural barrier and prevent dryness by using an SLS-free hand wash followed by a rich and protective moisturising cream.

Our Manuka & Lemon Tea Tree liquid hand wash protects your skin from dryness whilst cleansing away dirt and bacteria to leave hands soft and clean.

Free from artificial scent, SLS and Triclosan, this beautifully natural hand wash is ideal for those with sensitive, chapped hands.

Try our plant-rich hand cream for gardeners

Soften hard-working hands with our fast-absorbing, protective hand creams.

Help at Hand Cream has got everything you need for well-nourished hands and cuticles: Hemp Seed oil, Shea butter, Beeswax, Squalane from Olive, Perilla Seed oil, Olive oil, Jojoba oil and Jojoba esters, Marshmallow root, Chamomile Flower and Rosemary Leaf extracts all in a base of pure, organic Aloe Vera and beautifully scented with Rose Geranium and Lavender herb oil.

The high content of essential fatty acids is easily absorbed by the skin and helps strengthen and rebuild the membranes that hold moisture in the cells. The bases for our products are not water but pure Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has amazing powers for absorbing and retaining moisture – much like giving your skin a refreshing drink. It is also known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.
