Best hand cream for wedding-perfect hands
Worried that looking back on photographs of cracked dry hands might cause you to blush some bridal embarrassment? For wedding hand care bliss look no further than our Manuka & Lemon Tea Tree Hand Cream.
What makes our organic hand cream so nourishing?
Deliciously indulgent, this natural hand cream is made with nourishing plant actives, soothing Shea Butter, hydrating Olive Squalane and Aloe Vera.
To further reinforce the skin barrier and leave hands feeling smooth, soft and hydrated we also use eight oils. These work in synergy to create a restorative, antibacterial hand cream with a sweet, uplifting scent and include:
LEMON TEA TREE OIL
This antibacterial essential oil supports the natural healing of dry, chapped hands and leaves hands feeling fresh and smooth.
A perfect partner for Lemon Tea Tree oil, Manuka Leaf Oil has strong antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. For extra antimicrobial activity we blend it with Tea Tree Leaf Extract. This anti-irritant ingredient calms and soothes the skin whilst helping to defend it from a wide range of micro-organisms.
Rich in Vitamin E, Oleic Acid, Palmitic Acid and fatty acids, Olive Oil helps to the skin to retain vital vitamins, increases skin hydration and prevents skin irritation.
This natural oil has a high Linoleic Acid and Vitamin E content. This supports the skin barrier and helps to reduce moisture loss from the skin surface.
EVENING PRIMROSE OIL
Evening Primrose Oil contains Omega-6 fatty acids and supports the skin’s elasticity. An ideal ingredient for rejuvenating dry, dull skin, it forms a protective layer over the skin and helps lock hydration into the skin surface.
Jojoba Oil contains Omega-7 and Omega-9 fatty acids. Its structure closely mimics sebum, an oil that the skin produces naturally, which makes it an ideal ingredient for all skin types.
PERILLA SEED OIL
This non-greasy oil is easily absorbed into the skin. It is rich in Omega-3, and has soothing, repairing properties. Also rich in inflammatory and anti-allergic qualities, it is suitable for even ultra-sensitive skin and helps the skin barrier to maintain water.
SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL
Palm oil is rich in Vitamin E and Vitamin A and promotes skin elasticity, strength and cell regeneration. Its many skin benefits have meant that it is a widely used ingredient and, in recent years, fears have grown that sourcing palm oil for skin care is contributing to deforestation.
For this reason, we take good care to only use palm oil from certified organic sustainable farms in countries that do not have native orang-utans. Our organic certification also guarantees that the palm oil we used comes from ethical plantations as schemes that involve deforestation are specifically excluded from all organic certification schemes.
Exfoliating and moisturising routine
For hands that feel soft and smooth, we advise brides and grooms to moisturise their palms, fingers and nails with our organic hand cream several times a day.
If your hands are very dry you may find that rough skin is blocking the surface of the skin and preventing your hand cream from being absorbed. To avoid this lightly exfoliate your hands using a gentle sugar scrub.
Making your own hand exfoliator is easy to do; simply mix 2 tbsp of organic olive oil with 3 tbsp of granulated sugar. Make a paste and work the mixture into the hands before rinsing it off with luke-warm water.
Remember to nourish the nails as these can also become dry and cracked. The Squalane and Olive Oil in your moisturiser will help soften hard nails whilst the restorative Shea Butter will strengthen and repair dry, brittle nails and cuticles.
