Many liquid hand washes contain the chemical triclosan which works the same way as antibiotics. Strong antibacterial formulations that use agents such as triclosan can cause genetic mutations resulting in drug-resistant bacterial and mutant viruses.
We use Tea Tree and Manuka, plants which have been used as antiseptics and antibacterial agents for hundreds of years. There is clear evidence to show that bacteria do not develop resistance to their action.
