Many people are advised by their hospital to use an unscented cream during radiotherapy and to use very gentle products to wash. We look at our range of scent free products and have some tips on caring for your skin after treatment.

What radiotherapy skin care do I need?
According to Cancer Research UK1, it can be helpful to wash radiation-treated skin daily with a gentle, perfume-free soap – although be sure to follow the advice of the unit you are being treated on.

Radiotherapy skin care: further tips
- After washing, gently pat the skin dry or blow dry with a hair drier on its cool setting
- Apply creams or lotions lightly, again by gently patting the skin
- Do not rub the area of skin that has received radiotherapy
- Protect the treated area of skin from sun by covering up and wearing high SPF sunscreen.
